Headwear

Custom hats in Las Vegas embroidered with your logo, cap by cap.

Bighorn Threads embroiders custom hats for Las Vegas crews, companies, teams, and events: Richardson 112 truckers, Flexfit and Yupoong caps, New Era, Carhartt, beanies, and sun hats, with flat or 3D puff embroidery on the front, side, or back. Production runs through vetted Las Vegas partners and every order is quoted in writing.

What You Get

The cap people keep, not the one they leave in the truck.

The cap

Richardson, Flexfit, Yupoong, New Era, Carhartt, and Port Authority caps compared by structure, closure, fabric, and price for crews, merch, or events.

The embroidery

Flat or 3D puff on the front panel, with stitch counts and thread colors matched to your logo and approved on a proof before production.

Placements

Front panel, left or right side, and back arch above the closure. One cap can carry a logo, a name, and a tagline.

Crew or merch program

Issued caps for field crews with reorders through a company store, or a merch run your customers will actually wear.

Cap Options

Pick the cap that fits the crew and the logo.

Structure, closure, and front-panel height decide how a logo sits. Current models, colors, and stock are confirmed in your quote.

The Buyer's Read

What makes a hat logo look right, and what makes it look like a giveaway.

Cap embroidery is a different job from shirt embroidery. The front panel is curved, seamed, and often only a couple of inches tall, so a logo that works on a left chest usually needs to be simplified: fewer small letters, thicker lines, and a layout that fits a wide, short space. Our custom hats guide covers what to send, and the logo file setup guide explains why a vector file matters.

Structured caps, like the Richardson 112 and the Yupoong snapback, have a stiff front panel that holds a logo flat and takes 3D puff embroidery well. Unstructured caps, like the Carhartt canvas styles and most dad hats, crush and curve, so a smaller flat logo reads better. The cap picks the embroidery style as much as the logo does. The proof shows both before anything is stitched.

For issued crew caps, treat the hat like a uniform piece: pick one cap, one color combination, and one front logo, and add the worker's name or a certification on the side only if the crew needs it. For merch, the opposite rule applies: the cap should be one your customers would buy at retail, which is why the Richardson 112 dominates. The embroidery service page covers thread matching and digitizing, and the minimum order guide covers run sizes.

Las Vegas jobsites need sun hats as much as caps. From May through September a boonie or wide-brim hat protects the neck and ears on roofing, landscaping, and concrete crews, and employers must follow the Nevada OSHA heat-illness rules whatever the crew wears on its head. Where a hard hat is required, see custom hard hats and hard hat decals instead.

Caps pair with the rest of the program. Match the cap color to the polo or work shirt line, load the approved cap into a company store, and new hires get the same cap the crew already wears.

FAQ

Custom hat questions, answered.

How much does custom hat embroidery cost?

Cost depends on the cap, the stitch count of the logo, whether it is flat or 3D puff, the number of placements, and quantity. A front-panel logo on a trucker cap at a couple dozen pieces is the baseline; a second placement or puff embroidery adds per-cap cost. Bighorn quotes the exact cap and embroidery in writing.

What is the minimum order for custom hats?

Embroidered caps can run in small quantities because there is no screen setup. A one-time digitizing fee applies the first time a logo is set up for caps. Current minimums are confirmed in your quote.

Flat embroidery or 3D puff for hats?

Flat embroidery handles detail, small text, and fine lines. 3D puff raises bold shapes and block letters off the cap and suits simple, chunky logos. Many logos use both: puff on the main mark, flat on the tagline. The proof shows the recommendation.

Can you embroider on the side or back of the cap?

Yes. Left or right side panels take a small secondary mark such as a name, flag, or certification, and the back arch above the closure takes a company name or website. Each placement is priced separately.

Can I put my logo on Richardson 112 hats?

Yes. The Richardson 112 is the most-requested cap for Las Vegas crews and merch. Bighorn embroiders it through Las Vegas production partners in the color combinations Richardson currently stocks.

Do you do leather or woven patches on hats?

Patch caps, where a leather, woven, or PVC patch is sewn to the front panel, can be quoted alongside direct embroidery. Patch material, size, and attachment are confirmed in the quote.

What hat works for crews in the Las Vegas summer?

For field crews, a boonie or wide-brim sun hat protects the neck and ears, and a mesh-back trucker breathes better than a full-fabric cap. Employers must follow the Nevada OSHA heat-illness rules for water, rest, and shade regardless of the hat.
